The Summer of AP
|
The days are longer, the weather is warmer (perhaps too warm for some), and traffic is lighter as teachers and students enjoy their vacations. The dog days of summer are a great time to re-evaluate your accounts payable processes.
This week's issue should help you get this summer off to a great start. Sign up for our free webinar on AP automation in healthcare and take note of the IRS' new mileage rates. Also, find out just how versatile lemons can be! |

Healthcare AP Automation |
While automating AP processes can benefit nearly all organizations, different industries have specific needs that must be addressed for a technology implementation to be successful.
For example, healthcare companies manage their AP processes differently than retailers. The Accounts Payable Network benchmarking data reveals the following about healthcare providers:
- Healthcare providers typically require purchase orders for more than 50 percent of their purchases.
- 20 percent of healthcare providers require invoices to match the PO exactly to be approved.
- 84 percent of healthcare providers' vendors offer discounts between 1-20 percent.
- Exceptions occur on 13 percent of invoices received by healthcare providers.
Any AP technology they implement must address these rules and concerns. To help healthcare providers ensure smooth automation initiatives, TAPC is hosting a FREE webinar, Successful Automation of Accounts Payable Operations in Healthcare, on July 23, 2008.
The webinar will be a panel discussion with executives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Memorial Hermann Hospital and Sisters of Mercy Hospital.
