AP Training and Development |
There is a misconception that employees only need training if they are having problems. Continuing education actually can help teach employees new skills and reinforce the old. Methods for keeping your staff trained include:
- Organizing a team to review the AP Policy manual and look for ways to improve processes. Teach these new processes to the entire staff.
- Publishing a department newsletter highlighting key existing and new best practices.
- Enrolling your staff in a comprehensive training program.
- Certifying your staff. Certification keeps the AP staff up to date, improves morale and can be a career bost.
If you are interested in certification programs, be sure to sign up for the upcoming no-cost webinar, AP, AR & 1099 Certifications: Learn How Certification Helps You and Your Staff, featuring Tom Nichols, Process Improvement Management, and Carlton Webb, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. The webinar earns 1 CEU.
