Change: The Only Constant in AP
|
The longer people work in accounts payable, the more they realize that AP is synonymous with change. Whether because of technology, regulation, or mandate from above, an AP department's processes typically do not stay the same for long.
Whether your goal is to implement a new AP technology, expand your global presence, or anything in between, this issue features information to help your organization stay ahead of the curve.

Change Management |
Regardless of what your organization's change management project is, as the manager, you will need your employees' support to get through. The following are key aspects of the project that you must communicate to your employees to ensure you have their support:
- First, employees must understand the reasons for undertaking the change – and the reasons for starting immediately.
- Second, the end state must be clear and compelling to them – a picture of the company or department as it will be when the transformation is complete.
- Third, the personal benefits to the employee must be clear.
If you want more detail on successfully surviving change, attend the session "Managing Constant Change in AP Today," featuring Michelle Zacharias-Hunt, Director of Accounts Payable and Partner Settlements, AOL. The session is part of next week's The Accounts Payable Network AP Leadership Conference. You still have time to register!

Few things go together as well as blockbuster movies and a tub of popcorn. Unfortunately, that tub of popcorn also comes with a tub of calories and many theater chains don't want you to know about it. See Coming Soon to a Theater Near You - Calorie Counts.
